2025 Fall Pickleball Tournament
With a beautiful fall day set, the Town of Webb Recreation Department welcomed local and visiting Pickleball players to the lakeside courts for a 5-series Round Robin Pickleball Tournament.
After an exciting competition that tested each player's skills and adaptability with new teammates across five rounds, Wendy McGraw emerged as the champion, securing the title with the Most Overall Points Scored (55) and achieving five wins in total.
We would like to thank our dedicated Pickleball Program leads Dawn Lenci, Scott McCarley and Karen Mitchell for their passion to the program through their weekly commitment to ensure organized open play opportunities, tournament organization and fostering the growth of the sport for newcomers!
Lastly, we appreciate all participants for making this event a resounding success!

2024 Recreation Pickleball Tournament Has Crowned A Champion
On September 28th, the Town of Webb Recreation Department held their first annual Pickleball Tournament. Following a twenty-three game tournament showdown, Team Selin and Boya were crowned this year’s champions!
The tournament welcomed teams from Old Forge as well as neighboring towns including Yorkville, Whitesboro, Canandaigua, Indian Lake, Ballston Lake, Marion, Newark, Woodgate, Alder Creek, Forestport, Remsen, Utica and all the way from Texas! This event was truly perfect for the whole family with registrants starting at 27 years old to 83 years young. Families came to cheer on the teams while enjoying a beautiful fall day!
The Recreation Manager, Hannah Wheaton would like to thank our tournament volunteers, Karen Mitchell, Dawn Lenci, Scott McCarley, Kandis Griffin and Tyler Mitchell for all their help in setting up and executing such a smooth event!
For those looking to play pickleball with the Recreation Program, we hold weekly open court play Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm at the Park Ave Gym. When the weather cooperates, the program will play at the Lakefront during this time. For updates on schedule and location please join the TeamReach App and join the group using code: Oldforgepb.
