Recreation Pickleball Tournament Has Crowned A Champion!

 On September 28th, the Town of Webb Recreation Department held their first annual Pickleball Tournament. Following a twenty-three game tournament showdown, Team Selin and Boya were crowned this year’s champions! 

The tournament welcomed teams from Old Forge as well as neighboring towns including Yorkville, Whitesboro, Canandaigua, Indian Lake, Ballston Lake, Marion, Newark, Woodgate, Alder Creek, Forestport, Remsen, Utica and all the way from Texas! This event was truly perfect for the whole family with registrants starting at 27 years old to 83 years young. Families came to cheer on the teams while enjoying a beautiful fall day! 

The Recreation Manager, Hannah Wheaton would like to thank our tournament volunteers, Karen Mitchell, Dawn Lenci, Scott McCarley, Kandis Griffin and Tyler Mitchell for all their help in setting up and executing such a smooth event! 

For those looking to play pickleball with the Recreation Program, we hold weekly open court play Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm at the Park Ave Gym.
