Spotlight Trails:

Bald Mountain (Rondaxe Fire Tower)
Located 4.5 miles north of the Visitor Information Center in Old Forge on Route 28, turn left onto Rondaxe Road and continue one-tenth mile to the parking area on the left. This popular one-mile hike (30–40 minutes) rewards visitors with stunning views of the Fulton Chain of Lakes and access to a historic fire tower.

Bubb Lake & Sis Lake
Approximately 7.6 miles north of the Tourist Information Center in Old Forge on the north side of Route 28. This 2.3-mile hike (about 1 hour) is rated beginner to intermediate, featuring an initial ascent followed by mostly level terrain. The trail passes two beautiful lakes and offers opportunities for hiking, camping, swimming, and fishing.

Cascade Lake
A 4.6-mile round-trip hike (about 2.5 hours) with gentle grades. From Eagle Bay, take Big Moose Road for 0.9 miles to the parking area on the right. This scenic trail includes a picturesque waterfall at the north end and supports hiking, canoeing, camping, swimming, and fishing.

Fly Pond
Located directly across Rondaxe Road from the Bald Mountain parking area. This easy, level hike is approximately 0.8 miles (30 minutes) and passes Fly Pond, Carry Mountain Pond, the former Raquette Lake Railway bed, Scenic Mountain, and Mountain Pond.

Moss Lake
